The Spanish language, which is spoken by 463 million native speakers around the world, represents a major source of loan-words. The vast majority of loan-words from Spanish come from previous centuries when Spanish shone as a language of international communication, which is not the case to¬day. However, Spanish left an important linguistic heritage and its traces can be seen in French as well as in Czech today. Our study carries out in a comparative manner and its objective is to analyze the Hispanisms that have entered the French and Czech languages. The main aim of this article is to describe how translations from French to Czech developed after 1989. The year 1989 (Velvet revolution) symbolizes a significant change in the history of Czechoslovakia, as the country left the communist block and became an independent democratic State. In this article the author tries to answer the question how this political change affected the publishing of French literature in the Czech Republic.

Antroponymie potomků zelówských Čechů

The initial part of the article presents a brief history of Czech people in Polish Zelów as well as characteristics of this group of residents. The main part concerns description of names of descendants of Czech residents of Zelów. Material for analysis comes from tombstone inscriptions of the cemetery of the Evangelical-Reformed parish in Zelów. Authoress emphasizes that on the one hand anthroponyms reflect history, culture, and realities of life and on the other hand contacts with other nations. In this regard, she indicates those elements that attest to Czech continuum and characteristics of the phenomenon of linguistic and cultural assimilation of this group of Zelów’s residents.

W pierwszej części artykułu autorka zwraca uwagę na specyficzne cechy komunikacji na pograniczu i podkreśla, że mamy tu do czynienia z dwiema wspólnotami komunikacyjnymi, odmiennymi pod względem kulturowym, narodowym i społecznym, które dążą do uzyskania porozumienia w akcie komunikacji. The aim of the article is to describe a new study programme at the University of Opole, Czech language in the public services sector. Necessity to create non-philological programme is explained, as there are huge changes on the labour market and different expectations of future employers. Changes in the programme were enforced also by a new generation, so called Generation Z that has new characteristics. That lead the teachers to change their previous identities and habits.
